powdered pig bladder too late to help my thumb

It's been almost 18 years since I lost the end of my thumb (read: to the first joint) in a motorcycle chain. After all this time, I've gotten quite used to not having the extra nail to clip. The only times I really notice it's missing are when I'm trying to cut my fingernails or when I'm trying to fasten the button on my shirt sleeve.

Now, I see the miracle of re-growth is upon us via powdered pig bladder. See the CBS News story telling of a man's successful regrowth of the end of his severed finger.

A little late for me, but not for all those others bound to make the same mistake as me (warning labels be damned!)
